WatchⁿEmergency alerts for trusted groups

The NWatch trust model ​

NWatch is for small, invited groups with a manager who controls membership. It is not a public emergency-dispatch service and it does not replace calling the local emergency number when police, fire or ambulance assistance is required.

Delivery depends on network connectivity, push services, device permissions, operating-system settings and a valid group licence. NWatch reports when an incident is stored and how many push requests the service accepted; that is not proof that every phone displayed or sounded an alert.

How it works ​

1. A manager creates a licensed group and issues a time- and use-limited invite.
2. Members sign in, redeem the invite and check notification readiness on their device.
3. A member enters alert details and may choose to add their current GPS location.
4. The member slides the alert control right and holds it for two seconds. Completing the hold makes the app attempt a separate encrypted envelope for each intended recipient key and submit only those successfully sealed.
5. The service stores the incident and attempts push delivery to eligible devices.
6. An eligible recipient device with a successfully sealed envelope can fetch and decrypt it. A manager can resolve the incident in the portal.

The mobile home screen currently operates one primary group at a time. Managers can oversee multiple groups in the portal.

Privacy and safety ​

• Saved alert text is held locally on the device and sent only in encrypted incident envelopes.
• Optional precise GPS is requested at the point of use; NWatch does not continuously track location.
• Current clients include a system recovery envelope when the configured system key is available, enabling server-controlled, audit-logged manager reveal and key re-wrap operations.
• Identity, membership, device token, billing and operational records are stored only as described in the Privacy Policy.
• A group alert supplements—but never replaces—contacting emergency services.
