Privacy Policy

The current NWatch Privacy Policy is published at:

https://nwatch.app/au/privacy

That canonical policy explains account and identity data, group membership, push tokens, public encryption keys, encrypted alert envelopes, optional precise GPS, alert-delivery diagnostics, billing records, service providers, overseas processing, retention, account deletion and privacy requests.

Important clarifications for technical readers:

  • NWatch does not continuously track location. Optional GPS is requested only when the member chooses to include it in an alert.
  • Address and optional GPS leave the device only inside encrypted, recipient-specific alert envelopes. Ciphertext is retained with the incident.
  • A protected service-recovery envelope permits restricted, audited recovery or re-wrapping by an authorised administrator with permission for that group.
  • Account deletion removes the active profile, registered devices, public keys, memberships and that user's incident envelopes. Minimal safety, audit, former-member, deletion and billing records can be retained for legitimate operational or legal reasons described in the canonical policy. This includes a restricted one-way identity-security identifier and any platform suspension or one-shot privileged-bootstrap state needed to prevent a restriction or automatic access grant being evaded through account recreation.
